Beautiful. This mascara brightens and opens your eyes and gives your lashes thick, lush volume. It clumps a little in the volume but this does not affect it’s application. It goes on mostly smooth (just a little clumping which can be separated with an eyebrow brush, or a needle if you are very careful), and just makes your eyes pop. C’est magnifique!

This blush is pure magic. It should compliment all skin types. It just gives you a healthy natural glow. It’s perfect for day wear or natural wear days. It’s a powder, scented like flowers, it wears for several hours, but you may need a refresher halfway through the day. I love this one.

Yves Saint Laurent Les Sahariennes – Healthy Glow Balm-Powder

Wow! I love this product. The depth and highlight of the bronzer is so beautiful. The cream consistency turns into a powder upon application, which gives you so much control and lasts all day. The applicator it comes with works great too, which was a big surprise. Apply with the white smudge end, and blend with the brush end. This product is divine, contours your face, and really makes you glow. It is a different kind of finish than the other palette I have been using- Givenchy Le Prisme Visage Mat Soft Compact Face Powder ($49 Sephora), which gives a beautiful light, matte finish. But the YSL bronzer gives a healthy glow that I am loving. I am definitely keeping this as an alternate contour look to the Givenchy palette. What are some of your favorite bronzers? What do you love about them?

Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils Babydoll

I had been using Dior’s Diorshow Waterproof Mascara in Catwalk Black-Jet Black (Sephora $27.50) but it didn’t apply very well, it was clumpy in the bottle very quickly, and it would smear under my eyes during the day. I was recommended the YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils Babydoll in black, and this one really does deliver. It has not clumped in the bottle, it applies without clumping, lasts all day, defines and separates your lashes, and bonus, it curls them. I highly recommend this mascara, the formula is great. What about you guys, what is your favorite mascara? What do you love about it?

Dior Diorshow Art Pen in Black and Yves Saint Laurent EYELINER EFFET FAUX CILS SHOCKING – Bold Felt-Tip Eyeliner Pen in Black

Dior Diorshow Art Pen Eyeliner in 385 Bleu Croisiereysl-effet-faux-cils-shocking-bold-felt-tip-eyeliner-pen-review-9

So I started with the Diorshow Art Pen in Black and I loved that the liquid and tip applicator gave a lot of control to make your lines very thin or very thick. However, I found that the pen was not consistent in dispensing the fluid. It would come out light then heavy even if I tried shaking it. The staying power was also not fabulous. I gave it a couple weeks before a Sephora girl put the YSL Eyeliner Effet Faux Cils Eyeliner on me. This one was perfect. It applied smoothly, and evenly, the consistency of the liner coming out of the pen was perfect – it gave me so much control over the application. Even the felt tip is a better shape for more even application. The best part – it stayed on my face the whole day. I really loved the YSL Eyeliner Faux Cils and returned the Diorshow Art Pen. In general, anything I bought from Dior I switched to YSL. Anyone have one to recommend or have experience with these brands?

Marc Jacobs Beauty Lamé Noir Ultra-Glittering Mascara

I really wanted to love this because, when it’s done right, the glitter mascara really makes your eyes pop. Years ago, Victoria’s Secret used to make one, and it was awesome, but they discontinued it. The application of this is tacky and thick, and the sparkles fall everywhere. Perhaps it would pair better with an eyelash primer. Maybe someone who is better with makeup has had better luck with this? Anyone? Or know of a good one? Sadly, I had to return it.

Yves Saint Laurent Fusion Ink Foundation SPF18 and Touche Eclat Foundation Brush

This is simply the best foundation I have ever put on my face. It is weightless, fluid-y and hydrating. It absorbs incredibly well and wears just as beautifully. It has a nice matte look after too.

y brush

It spreads beautifully with the Yves Saint Laurent Y Brush, giving really nice, full, seamless coverage. The bristles on this brush are the nicest ones I have felt. Soft, but firm, so it performs really well for blending foundation. The whole experience is really magical.
