chanel le vernis

Oh this color is magical. And it has such staying power. The depth and shimmer is really high quality. The best part is, that if you are super amateur at doing your own nails, the applicator of this one makes it fool-proof. Its very small, and soft, so you can slowly apply, with lots of control. But the liquid is so smooth, it basically applies itself-flawlessly. Pair it with their top coat ($28) and your nail polish will last a couple weeks (as long as you wear gloves when you are doing your house cleaning or handling abrasive chemicals).

Sothys Slimming and Firming Line $118 On Sale

sothysbodyfirming creamsothysreshaping creamsothys essential 24

These were on sale for about half off each at Sothys firming cream, Sothys reshaping cream and Sothys Essential 24 cream. I love the brand so I ordered it. These are luxurious creams with the beautiful, lightly perfumed Sothys scent. They moisturize your skin to glowing, smooth, perfection. They also help firm the skin up, and they seem to work rather quickly (see a difference after first use). Bonus, it also helps lighten stretch marks. The only con, they are highly moisturizing, but do not help shed excess water like the Thalgo slimming line, which i will purchase when I run out. However,  These are still a really nice addition. Do you know any good firming creams?

Sothys W. Cleansing Cream $24.20

I really like this skin care line. It is made in France and I think the French really know what they are doing when it comes to skin care. This face wash really moisturizes and gives your face a glow if you massage into your skin and leave for about a minute before washing off. It just makes you look healthy and really purifies the skin.

I tried this out for under eyes. I really liked it. It immediately depuffs them and smooths out lines. I think it does brighten there a little as well. So far, it is the nicest one I have tried for under my eyes. I did an overnight Nip+Fab dragons blood mask and my under eyes are still wrinkly and puffy from it. So I am looking for the cure. Any suggestions?

Beautiful. This mascara brightens and opens your eyes and gives your lashes thick, lush volume. It clumps a little in the volume but this does not affect it’s application. It goes on mostly smooth (just a little clumping which can be separated with an eyebrow brush, or a needle if you are very careful), and just makes your eyes pop. C’est magnifique!

Dior Diorshow Art Pen in Black and Yves Saint Laurent EYELINER EFFET FAUX CILS SHOCKING – Bold Felt-Tip Eyeliner Pen in Black

Dior Diorshow Art Pen Eyeliner in 385 Bleu Croisiereysl-effet-faux-cils-shocking-bold-felt-tip-eyeliner-pen-review-9

So I started with the Diorshow Art Pen in Black and I loved that the liquid and tip applicator gave a lot of control to make your lines very thin or very thick. However, I found that the pen was not consistent in dispensing the fluid. It would come out light then heavy even if I tried shaking it. The staying power was also not fabulous. I gave it a couple weeks before a Sephora girl put the YSL Eyeliner Effet Faux Cils Eyeliner on me. This one was perfect. It applied smoothly, and evenly, the consistency of the liner coming out of the pen was perfect – it gave me so much control over the application. Even the felt tip is a better shape for more even application. The best part – it stayed on my face the whole day. I really loved the YSL Eyeliner Faux Cils and returned the Diorshow Art Pen. In general, anything I bought from Dior I switched to YSL. Anyone have one to recommend or have experience with these brands?

L’Oreal Professional Absolut Repair Cellular Lactic Acid Shampoo and Conditioner

Wow! This duo really works. I bleach my hair and this is the only shampoo and conditioner that softens and restores the damage that the bleach causes. It leaves hair silky smooth, manageable and brush-able. The bottles go a long way. There is no comparison even to Redken or Pureology brands for restoring hair softness from the dying process. It’s the best for damaged hair care or even curly hair care (I gave it to my boyfriend who has curly, dry hair, he was so thankful and his hair is so soft and glowing now). However, their store brand, does a good enough job for me when my budget is tight too 😉 Has anyone else tried these awesome products?

Marc Jacobs Beauty Lamé Noir Ultra-Glittering Mascara

I really wanted to love this because, when it’s done right, the glitter mascara really makes your eyes pop. Years ago, Victoria’s Secret used to make one, and it was awesome, but they discontinued it. The application of this is tacky and thick, and the sparkles fall everywhere. Perhaps it would pair better with an eyelash primer. Maybe someone who is better with makeup has had better luck with this? Anyone? Or know of a good one? Sadly, I had to return it.
